Dwell with Dignity Kicks Off 2020 Thrift Studio
Over 230 guests united at the beautiful new Cantoni – Trade showroom to kick off Dwell with Dignity’s largest fundraiser, Thrift Studio, on Feb. 6th. The stylish event was the “see and be seen” of the interior design world as participants of this year’s fundraiser were announced and celebrated.
Dwell with Dignity’s Executive Director Ashley Sharp and Advancement Director Kim Turner announced this year’s team. Shay Geyer, who was racing back to Dallas on a private jet hoping to make the event, serves as the Thrift Studio Honorary Chair, and ALG Collective (artists Anna Curnes, Annie Griffeth, Christi Meril, and Melissa Ellis) serves as Art Chair. Designers include Cathy Kincaid Interiors, Leslie Jenkins Interiors, Madre Dallas, M. Wilcox Design, Morgan Farrow Interiors, Pickering House Interiors, Twelve Twenty, and Lindley Arthur Interiors.
Cantoni’s 30,000-sq. ft. space of immaculately displayed modern furniture set the stage of luxury for the event. Lockwood Catering by Justin Box provided gourmet bites like Charred Chicken Salad with smoked pecans, gorgonzola, and Profound Farms violets, and Crème Fraiche and Cocoa Tart with pepita granola. Guests sipped on Pegasus Brewery craft beer and the signature Dragon Juice cocktail made with vodka, peach liqueur, cranberry juice, and orange as they mingled and perused the gorgeous furniture.
Notable attendees included: Art Co-Chairs Annie Griffeth and Christi Meril of ALG Collective, Tony Smock of Cantoni – Trade, Mia Brous and Kerri Goldfarb of Madre Dallas, Cathy Kincaid, Josh Pickering, Leslie Jenkins, Lindley Arthur, Monica Wilcox, Morgan Farrow, and JR Brown of Twelve Twenty, among others.

About Dwell with Dignity
Dwell with Dignity is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to help families escape poverty and homelessness through design, one family at a time. We partner with the interior design industry and social services agencies to provide home furnishings to families who have managed to obtain permanent housing, but do not have the funds to purchase the many items needed to make their new residence a home, including all furniture, art, bedding, kitchen supplies, food in the pantry and their first night’s meal. With the assistance that DwD provides, a huge burden is lifted from the families we serve. They can now focus on their jobs, their children and their futures. Academics improve. Play dates are made. Plans are made for birthdays, holiday gatherings and family dinners, setting the stage for breaking the cycle of poverty and setting up future generations for success. www.dwellwithdignity.org
